On January 1st, 2008, Jim took me to Wal Mart to buy fishing licenses. Nearly every weekend since then, he has been itchin' for fishin'. The man who sold us the licenses was impressed at our expediency.
We finally got a chance yesterday. Mikey and Julie came along for the ride, and we headed south to Pueblo Reservoir.
My infamous "never caught a fish" streak continued.
We had fun nonetheless. The day went something like this.
We stopped for lunch.Jim fished to his heart's content.
I fished.Reagan took a nap.
After awhile Julie, Mikey and I got bored and decided to see how well we could skip rocks; the answer was quite well.I experimented with the new camera and took this shot of the water through the lens of my sunglasses...
We found some fossils.
Then, after an excellent day, we loaded up and came back home!

New Camera!
If you haven't ever heard of a website called Woot then I highly recommend it. It is a website that offers electronic equipment and some household items for huge discounts. Granted, sometimes they're refurbished items (like ours), but my philosophy is this: if it works, who cares??? Each day they offer a new deal, and it's available until it's sold out or until the next deal comes on. Thanks to Mikey for turning us on to that one.
(It's rare that we get a picture of Jim looking so happy and directly at the camera in a picture, so I had to include this one.) :)
Our camera is a Kodak Easyshare V1003. It is small, has several options, and is PERFECT for us. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely ADORE my Nikon D80. I mean really, who couldn't? But for vacations, or hikes, or trips to the mountains or Texas, it's a bit much to pack. This camera fits in Jim's pocket or my purse with room to spare. And, I think it takes great pictures...but you be the judge.
Oh, and in my last post, I said that we'd be buying baby gates next month. Since a lot of our time lately is spent doing this, it may need to be sooner.
Happy Spring!

Happy Easter!
Easter marks the last of Reagan's COMPLETE first holidays. I say complete because, as you may know, Reagan was born on Easter last year, but since she took her time getting here, she missed the first 7 hours of it.
Yesterday was a relaxing day for us; we went to church in the morning and headed out to my parents house for lunch in the afternoon.
Reagan had a VERY cute Easter dress, which will also double as her birthday party dress. I took some pictures of her, of course, but if you come to her birthday party you'll get to see the real thing! As you see, she LOVES to climb the stairs. Next month we will be purchasing baby gates!
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Luckily for me, we had a snow day today. So, I got to stay in with Reagan. Then, once the roads melted, the errands began! I realized as I was getting dressed that Reagan wasn't wearing nearly enough green, because I had forgotten it was St. Patty's Day. So, I put this outfit on her.Our nanny pointed out that the particular shade of green sort of washes her out, which I agreed with, so she doesn't wear it much. But it sure is cute! And so is she.
Reagan was being especially goofy today. I'm not sure what got into her! Maybe it's because of her Great Great Great Grandpa, William McMorrow on Grandpa Bill's side. He makes Reagan 1/32nd Irish, and everyone loves an Irish Lass. One of her favorite things to do is to sneak (i.e., crawl as fast as she can) into the refrigerator. I'm not sure what her fascination is, but she certainly has one. So, she was being so silly that we didn't stop her since I had my camera handy. She was showing a healthy mixture of healthy (the yogurt)and recreational (the beer).
And then, after Jim finished his dinner, she decided that she had to have is plate. She snatched it out of his hands, and before we knew what happened, she, well, did this:
I have no idea where she even learned this trick. I won't lie; I have sometimes been known to lick my ice cream bowl, or let the dog do it, but I haven't had ice cream recently enough for Reagan to remember...so I'm stumped.
So...after all of Reagan's tomfoolery, coupled with the trip to REI that I had to find replacement sunglasses (I finally settled on these, *in tortoise brown), that it was only appropriate for a Green Beer. So, I took the *beer that Reagan had tried to steel earlier in the night, added a little food coloring, and there, I had it. After all, I'm not Irish, and now, I'm the only member of my immediate family who is not, so I have a little to make up for on this, the day of the Leprechaun. Goodnight!

No Pictures But...
There is news.
I have decided to do a triathlon! I signed up and started training last week.
I'm not completely crazy, the triathlon I signed up for is only a sprint (a total misnomer, but I'll get to that in a minute) and it's women only.
A sprint triathlon consists of about a 1/2 mile swim, followed by a 12 mile bike ride, and finishes with a 3.1 mile run. I'm VERY excited. I feel, however, that the title of "sprint" triathlon is a complete misnomer because even with those shorter distances, it's hard for me to believe that there is ANY sprinting going on.
My race is on June 29th and it is in Denver at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. If you're not busy and you're in the area I would LOVE to have you cheer me on. Knowing that people I love will be there will also help me train between now and June! Wish me luck. :) And don't worry, Spring Break starts in a week, so I'll soon have time to take more pictures of Reagan.

Keep the Old
The weather the last few days has been absolutely beautiful! Yesterday was nearly 70 degrees, the day before that was nearly 60. I went for a bike ride with my friend Jen yesterday. It was great to see her, and she took me on a bike path through town that I didn't even know existed. We rode for about 14 miles total, and we had a great time. I'm adjusting well to the pedals; I just seem to have a tough time getting out of them when I'm stopped. It's a little funny, actually. I frequently take my right foot out and lean to the left...therefore falling. Eh, I'll get the hang of it.
Anyway, the weather was gorgeous, until today. Now, it has been snowing until about 2am, and it's supposed to continue until about 4am. Here's hoping there'll be at least a delay. On Thursday, since it was so nice, I took Reagan out on the front porch and took some pictures. If the outfit looks a little old fashioned, it's because it is...it was mine. :)
And, for some reason, I still love her feet.
